This is a plain-English notice about the information ContinUnity Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) holds when you use ContinUnity, and how we keep it safe. We are the data controller for that information.
The most important thing. The stories, answers and family names you preserve in the Live Forever Journal are yours. They are stored privately against your own account, they are never sold or used for advertising, and you can export or delete them at any time.
Your journal content is stored on secure, access-controlled servers in the UK/EU and is only ever loaded for the signed-in owner of the account. Nobody browsing the site can see another person’s answers. If you invite family members, only the people you invite can see what is shared with them.
We use your information for one purpose: to give you and your family the ContinUnity experience, including saving your journal, delivering your daily prompts, and running your membership. We do not sell your information, and we do not use the contents of your journal for advertising.
The journal is for stories, memories and reflections. Please do not enter passwords, bank details, PINs or other security credentials into it.
We use trusted providers to operate ContinUnity. They process information only on our instructions and under their own security and privacy obligations. These include our sign-in provider, our database provider, our hosting provider, and our membership and communications platform. Where a feature transcribes your voice or helps you shape a memoir, a specialist AI provider may process that content solely to deliver that feature to you.
We keep your journal and account for as long as your account is active, so your stories stay available to you. If you close your account or ask us to delete your information, we remove it, except where we must keep limited records to meet a legal obligation.
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, export it, or have it deleted. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk). To make any request, contact us at hello@continunity.com and we will handle it promptly.
We may update this notice from time to time. The version published on this page is the one that applies.
